Damaged plasterboard wall due to damp rotting the paper face of the plasterboard. The wall literally fell apart. This was caused by ingress of water through the grout which was in decent condition.
The walls were stripped back and HardiBacker tile backerbaord was used instead of plasterboard as it is water resistant. The joints are siliconed in this picture and about to be taped for reinforcement.
Fixed, grouted, siliconed and door/frame rehung.
The wall behind the bath was removed as it was made of weak and moisture sensitive MDF.
Joe's tiling created a very sturdy timber frame and then created a surfce to tile onto with HardiBacker tile backerbaord. The whole bath area was then scored and waterproofed / tanked.
